Paul,
Thanks for introducing me to this book. I told my wife about it and asked her to get us a copy.
Prior to visiting you with my daughter we were in trouble.. and at wits end. I quite honestly believed one of us would be dead within the next year or two. My daughter because of bad choices, or me because my daughter had threatened.
This was heartbreaking for me as she had been ‘my little girl’ and had been my best friend for her first 8-10 years. I missed her deeply but could not find a way to come together.
With your help.. the three of us (you, my daughter and myself) took a HUGE and seemingly insurmountable problem, broke it down to little easy to manage pieces..
Week by week we lost our hostility and came closer. We are now best friends! We chat about anything.. just to chat.
I’m so very proud of her. She is attending college, holding a full time job, paying her own way, and she and I are both proud of her accomplishments.
Four years ago I would have thought this impossible!
Thanks for helping get us back together… I truly am forever in your debt.
Steve,
It is truly an honor to be part of your parenting team – thank you for your kind words!
